It is with this vision and mission J. & J. College of Science embarked on its journey of providing opportunities for higher education to the students of Kheda district. The College Stands apart as an epitome of foresightedness of its founders, hard work of its staff and has paved the way for science education in the rural area of kheda district. The College has grown leaps and bounds ever since its inception. The foundation stone was laid on 10th October 1946; and the college started in June 1947 in a small tobacco ‘Khari’. It has witnessed a meteoric rise and reached its present position. Today it is one of the biggest science colleges of kheda District. Academic life here is oriented through offering undergraduate and post graduate Courses. Initially, the college has introduced Chemistry and Physics at under graduated level. Gradually more laurels are added and at present Mathematics and Microbiology are included in Undergraduate level and Post graduation in Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Microbiology running fullfledged. English as a language and digital English Language Laboratory are also an important part of the curriculam. College has a unique Botanical Garden with many rare plants, Green House, Zoological museum are our main attractions.
Our Students’ success cannot be defined by marks and qualifications alone. Students leave the college as dynamic and impactful global citizens, equipped to play a leading role in whichever walk of life they choose. To achieve this, students are encouraged to participate in the extensive array of opportunities which exist beyond the classroom. They are awarded for their excellence in academic and co-curricular activities by bestowing on them gold medals and awards and cash prizes annually. There is a Central Committee of students which plays a central role in representing the views of our Students.
